Remember that when the floor or pencil tells you to "Bring up the lid", you are to clear your hands, reach under your table and place the lid of the rack on top of your table then clear your hands again.
Immediately after that, organize your rack - separating all colors on the right side of your rack in the proper increments if you have a color that is less than 20 cheques.
Next, you will remove all the cards from your shoe or shuffle machine and place them in the discard rack for floor to put away later. You are simply waiting for floor to come by and count your rack.
Once floor has tallied-up your rack, you will validate it ensuring that floors calculations are correct. This is where your knowledge of stack values becomes extremely important. If you believe that floor may have made a mistake, be certain to let them know and they will fix it.
After the slip has been verified by you, you are to then sign the slip typically including your employee number afterwards. *Remember, you are responsible for anything you sign for*
The slip will then go face up in the rack on the far right side and the lid will be placed on top. Floor will then lock the lid and tug on it to verify that it is secured. You will then double-check that the lid has been locked by tugging on it. You will then clear your hands one last time and place the shoe under the table (if you have one at your table).
Lastly, report to your pencil for further instructions. You may simply go home or tap out a dealer or go on break.
