All player's bets must be removed from the bet spots before making your approval call to begin your shuffle.
You must receive approval before shuffling by calling, "Shuffle!" or "Shuffling!" You must receive approval before rolling by announcing, "Rolling!"
Be certain to turn the right half of the deck with only ONE FINGER. Either the pinky or index finger depending on your house rules.
House shoe shuffle is: Riffle, Riffle, Strip, Riffle.
Change who cuts the deck rather than having the same person do it every time. However; players may elect a "lucky" person to continue to cut repeatedly.
Neither the player nor the dealer may use the cut-card to brush the cards before cutting.
Players cannot cut the cards within 1 deck width from either end.
If all players decline to cut the deck, the dealer must announce, "Dealer Cut!" Which is an alert call.
Once the cards are back in the shoe, players may place their bets to prepare for the next hand.
DON'T FORGET YOUR BURN CARD!!
Keep in mind that this is a generic house shuffle to show you the basics. Every house has their own version of this shuffle that they do not expect you to know when you audition. This procedure is always subject to change based on your house rules of where you deal.
